Thanks to everyone who attended the Axian Staff Lunch on May 15, 2014. Our main focus was on IA/UI/UX Design at Axian, presented by Melissa Vu, Senior Web Designer at Axian.
Melissa walked us through an overview of our Information Architecture, User Interface and User Experience Design processes at Axian and showed us before and after examples of some of our recent and current Design projects. She then talked about the technology we use for Design, where she envisions Design trends heading in the future, and how our Designers and Developers can best work together to create outstanding solutions for our clients.
Then, on May 16, fifteen of our staff members attended a full day Presentation Training Class, instructed by Brian K. McCarthy, University Instructor, Corporate Trainer and Executive Coach.
Brian led us through a very inspiring hands-on workshop that gave us a chance to strengthen our presentation & communication leadership skills in a supportive environment. We were given multiple opportunities to practice what we learned, and received constructive feedback from him as well as each other. We all came away feeling more empowered to communicate clearly and effectively with our teams and our clients in our presentations.
