As a behavioral market research firm, InsightsNow is a strategic partner to many large and well-respected brands including L’Oreal, Nestle, PepsiCo, Campbell’s, GlaxoSmithKline, Tyson, and AOL. They’re hired to uncover insights like what drives buying behaviors, enables marketplace disruption and accelerates innovation of new products and services.
They work with R&D Innovation teams and marketing insights team to design custom market research using qualitative, quantitative and behavioral data to get to the “why” and “what else” answers for their clients.
As a small boutique firm hired by leaders at Fortune 100 companies and brands, InsightsNow needed to align their website and visual image to appeal to business-to-business buyers and prospects working at companies with some of the largest marketing budgets in the world.
They wanted to start the new year with a new website that they could update and add to.
The website was not as functional as desired and had a homemade look and feel, which did not represent a brand working with Fortune 100 clients.
“As the front door to our company, we didn’t feel proud of how we were presenting ourselves online through our website,” Derrith Lambka, Sr. Vice-President Client Partnerships at InsightsNow said.
Helping companies understand consumer emotion is an important approach for InsightsNow and their existing website didn’t demonstrate that.
Finally, the website hosting solution being used was both unreliable and extremely overpriced. And difficult for the internal team to update. Expensive too.
Finding the Solutions
“We needed to respond quickly and build out a new, robust, professional website. I had worked with Melissa from Axian in the past and knew what she was capable of so it was an easy call,” says Derrith Lambka. “We wanted a new visual identify and website up in the new year. I got referrals and met with three agencies. I had worked with Melissa from Axian in the past and knew what a great designer she was. And the team there I met while I was vetting possible agencies was really strong technically, so it was an easy decision.” says Derrith Lambka. They scoped and bid the project thoroughly and quickly and gave us an incentive to save money by being efficient in working with them. That helped me a lot working with our internal team.”

Melissa Vu, Senior Web Designer at Axian, delved into InsightsNow’s brand culture and helped properly define their visual identity. “Once we really understood their brand values, we utilized powerful images, design schemes, and user workflows to create the brand impact that was desired,” Melissa states.
To solve hosting reliability issues and broken functionality the new website was transitioned to Amazon Web Services. To enable quick and easy changes the WordPress platform was chosen and customized for them. “They did a great job training us on how to use the tools they’d created for us and it’s wonderful that we can engage the Axian team as needed on site updates and new functionality as needed,” Derrith said.
