Do you like using data to solve technical/business challenges?  Are you a person who enjoys being challenged with new technologies in the cloud?  Do you like working closely with a team of like-minded data/reporting wizards?  Then Axian is your kind of place.  We are looking to grow our Business Intelligence (BI) Team with the sharpest BI minds in the Portland Metro region.  The Axian BI Team works with a constantly growing list of clients to solve business problems including Shift to the Cloud, Architecting Solutions, Data Modeling, Data Transformations & Management (ETL/MDM), Analysis & Visualizations, as well as balanced User Interface/User Experience designed Dashboards/Reports.  If you like data and being challenged to solve problems using data, then reach out to the Business Intelligence Team at Axian.

Requirements:

The BI Group is looking for Team Members with the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or related field is a must
  • 5+ Years experience with RDBMS development (PL/SQL, T-SQL, NoSQL, etc.)
  • 2-3 Years experience with other Tier 1 RDBMS (AWS Redshift, SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra, Oracle, etc.)
  • 2-3 Years experience with ETL Tools (AWS Data Pipeline, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, SAP Data Services, Ab Initio, etc.)
  • Experience with Big Data & Big Data architectures is a plus (AWS EMR, Azure Data Lakes, Azure Databricks, Spark, Hadoop, HANA, Teradata, etc.)
  • Experience with design & development of relational and dimensional data modeling
  • Knowledgeable hands-on experience with traditional source systems (i.e. ERP, MRP, CRM, etc.)
  • 1-3 years Consulting experience desired
  • Experience with multiple reporting or BI tools a plus (i.e. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Crystal Reports, SAP Business Objects, etc.)
  • Proven track record of delivering and contributing to the development of holistic, scalable, and relevant BI solutions

  • Work on a collaborative team or independently on client deliverables leveraging the team’s methodologies, best practices, and collective knowledge
  • Be a self-starter and pick-up new technologies quickly
  • Possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Have experience leading a technical team or project or work stream
