The Nike Asia Pacific region spans 13 countries and countless employees, suppliers, and vendors. Infor-mation sharing across such a broad collection of people and places was a daunting task. Aside from the resolving geographic and technical challenges, there was also a need to revamp how revenue data was accessed from the SAP Business Warehouse System.
Enter Axian and its Business Intelligence team.
In close collaboration with Nike, Axian developed a graphical reporting dashboard to allow AP’s senior leadership team a vis-ual way to track and analyze revenue forecasts.
The team utilized its best practice knowledge and framework to extract large amounts of data and transform it into meaningful information.
A variety of benefits were realized from the project:
- Accurate revenue projections - the executive dashboard summarizes future orders and revenue growth rates by region and category.
- Cost savings - automation reduces need for extensive analyst efforts manually building spreadsheet reports.
- Broader accessibility - visual reports allow ad-hoc access by senior management.
Through the application of Axian’s BI processes, Nike achieved the highly sought “one version of the truth” by eliminating multi-ple reporting sources and instituting data validation.
